Casual Security Officer – Power Station Site n

Diamond Protection is an established Australian security provider supplying professional security services to government, utility and critical infrastructure clients. We're building a reliable, high-calibre team for a major power generation site at Swanbank, near Ipswich.

About the role n

This is not a standard static guard or crowd control role. The site needs officers who are as comfortable at a computer and managing systems. You'll be the first point of contact for staff, contractors, visitors and emergency services, so presentation, communication and attention to detail matter.

The position is casual, but it comes with an ongoing roster and a predictable number of shifts each week. The site runs 24/7 on 12-hour day and night shifts (5:30am–5:30pm and 5:30pm–5:30am), including weekends and public holidays.

What you'll be doing n

Monitoring CCTV and remote camera feeds across multiple sites

n

Managing an electronic access control system, including alarms, zone access, issuing access cards and locks, and evacuation reporting

n

Doing regular foot and vehicle patrols, and unlocking and locking gates and buildings (a site vehicle is provided)

n

Keeping accurate daily logs, key registers and equipment removal registers

n

Managing site bookings and running site inductions for visitors and new personnel

n

Acting as the primary site contact for emergency services (QPS, QFRS, QAS) and assisting with emergency response,



lockdowns and evacuations

n

Giving first aid and reporting health, safety and environmental incidents using the client's reporting forms

About you n

Robust administration skills and a high level of accuracy in record keeping

n

Confident with computers, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and learning new software

n

Experience with CCTV and access control systems is highly regarded

n

Experience in power generation, heavy industry, mining or other critical infrastructure is highly regarded

n

Professional presentation, clear written and verbal communication, and a customer-focused approach

n

Calm, sound judgement in an emergency

n

Reliable and available for a 24/7 roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays

n

Current Queensland Security Licence: Security Officer (Unarmed) and Monitoring

n

Current driver's licence

n

Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR, or the ability to obtain them before you start

n

General Construction Induction Card (White Card), or the ability to obtain it before you start

n

Ability to pass pre-employment checks
