Calling all heroes (immediately available accountants) we are recruiting on behalf of a growing WA-based organisation for a hands-on Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end, compliance and general ledger integrity across a busy operational environment.

This is an initial 3-month temporary contract with a genuine view to permanent , offering the opportunity to join a broad finance function where you can take ownership and make an immediate impact.

About the Role: n

Reporting to the General Accounting Manager , you will support the accurate and timely delivery of financial accounting, reporting and compliance activities.

n

This is a broad, hands-on role covering general ledger integrity, reconciliations, journals, month-end and year-end close, financial reporting and statutory requirements. You will also work closely with the wider business to ensure costs are appropriately allocated across entities, branches and projects.

Key Responsibilities: n

- Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and other general ledger entries.
n
- Complete bank, balance sheet,



intercompany and GL reconciliations.
n
- Support month-end and year-end close and financial reporting.
n
- Assist with monthly management accounts and reporting.
n
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
n
- Support GST, BAS, FBT and other statutory requirements.
n
- Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
n
- Review coding and cost allocations across entities, branches and projects.
n
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and variance analysis.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting.
n

Short but Sweet: n

We are seeking a robust hands-on Accountant with:

n

n
- Previous financial or management accounting experience.
n
- Strong month-end, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliation skills.
n
- Knowledge of Australian GST, BAS and statutory accounting requirements.
n
- Strong Excel and ERP/accounting systems capability.
n
- Construction, building, restoration, project-based or multi-entity experience highly regarded.
n
- MYOB experience advantageous.
n
- CA/CPA qualification or progress towards qualification desirable, but not essential.
n
