Finance Systems & Automation Analyst – Permanent, full time – Sydney, NSW – $110,000 to $120,000 base plus Superannuation

Our client is looking for a qualified accountant with NetSuite experience to join their finance systems function. This is a hands on role across systems, business analysis and automation, and it suits someone who enjoys solving process problems and working closely with finance teams.

About Our Client n

Our client is a quick growing technology infrastructure business going through a period of significant scale. The finance team is building out its systems, data and processes to support that growth, with a strong focus on automation and practical use of AI. This role sits in a small team reporting to the Finance Systems & Automation Lead.

Responsibilities n

n
- Support the day to day running of NetSuite and connected finance systems, including administrative tasks such as workflows, approval rules, roles, saved searches and reporting
n
- Work with finance users to understand pain points and manual workarounds, and recommend ways to simplify and automate processes
n
- Contribute to new system implementations, including a procurement system and a project management system used by operational teams
n
- Run workshops and document requirements, process flows and acceptance criteria for internal technology teams and external vendors
n
- Coordinate testing and UAT, manage defects and support go live and hypercare
n




- Find faster ways to get data out of NetSuite and into reporting the business can act on
n
- Identify opportunities for workflow automation, low code tools and AI, and help design and implement them
n
- Support system controls, including change management, user access, segregation of duties and audit requests
n
- Help manage a backlog of finance improvement work, delivered in regular short cycles

Requirements nn
- CA or CPA qualified
n
- 2 to 5 years of experience in finance systems, business analysis, finance transformation or a related role
n
- Hands on experience using NetSuite, with a good understanding of how its functions work
n
- Solid knowledge of core finance processes such as procure to pay, order to cash and record to report
n
- Experience gathering requirements, mapping processes, testing and implementing system changes
n
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
n
- Clear communicator who can work with finance users, technical teams and vendors
n
- Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, integrations or AI tools such as Copilot is a plus
n
