Our client Our client is a market-leading investment bank with a track record of advising on many of Australia's most significant M&A; transactions. The team is active across a diverse range of sectors, including renewables, energy, infrastructure, healthcare, and technology. They are now looking to add an Analyst to their Melbourne or Sydney office.

The opportunity n

Working closely with Associates and senior bankers, you will play a hands-on role across the full deal lifecycle, from early-stage pitching through to transaction close. You'll gain broad exposure to mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, and strategic advisory mandates. Key responsibilities will include:

- Building and maintaining financial models, including integrated three-statement, valuation, and capital structure models
n
- Researching companies, industries, and market trends to support pitches and live transactions
n
- Preparing pitch books, client presentations, and transaction documents
n
- Undertaking valuation analysis using DCF,



trading comparables, and precedent transaction methodologies
n
- Assisting with due diligence and coordinating information flow during live deals
n
- Supporting debt sizing and credit analysis where required
n

Required skills & experience n

The successful candidate will have up to three years ofexperience in investment banking, corporate finance or valuations, gained at a bank, Big 4 firm, or boutique advisory platform. Solid academic results in finance, commerce, economics, or a related discipline are expected. You'll combine excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills with sharp attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
