About the role n

Kilcoy Pastoral Company Limited Location: 4830 D’Aguilar Highway, Winya Queensland 4515 Employment Type: Permanent Kilcoy Global Foods currently has permanent opportunities for Mechanical Technicians to join our team in a fast-paced, 24/7 beef production environment. Work environments will vary from agricultural, production, refrigeration, biomass boiler and rendering.

We are looking for Mechanical Fitters, Mechanical Fitter and Turners and Mechanical Engineering Technicians.

- Lead and participate in internal and external meetings and forums related to the Maintenance function.
n
- Ensure compliance with

Work Health and Safety Act obligations, including identifying, assessing, and controlling workplace hazards.

n

n
- Maintain consistent quality control and work practices to optimise plant efficiency and minimise production downtime.
n
- Conduct statutory checks and audits to meet internal and external regulatory compliance requirements.
n
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop preventative maintenance schedules, analyse performance data, and implement operational improvements.
n
- Manage and coordinate allocated projects from planning to commissioning, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets.
n

Remuneration nn
- Night Shift $56.08 per hour.
n
- Day shift $48.28 per hour.
n

- Night Shift | 16:00

- 04:00hrs.

- Day Shift | 4.00

- 16:00hrs.

- 5 days on, 4 days off then 4 days on, 5 days off.

About you nn
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance role.
n
- Proven ability to manage engineering and maintenance functions across large manufacturing or FMCG sites.
n
- Experienced in managing capital expenditure and leading large-scale project teams.
n
- Robust leadership skills with experience in team management.
n
- Holds a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Plant Engineering.
n
- Develop and document relevant technical specifications.
n
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers or contractors.
n
- Negotiate and purchase required project resources.
n
- Oversee installation and commissioning of buildings and equipment.
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and great diagnostics for fault finding.
n
- Reliable, motivated self-starter.
n
- Can-do attitude, focusing on solutions.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- Excellent time management skills and communication skills.
n
- FMCG or manufacturing environment (highly regarded).
n
- Beef slaughter process equipment (highly regarded).
n
- Associated downstream offal and rendering plant and equipment (highly regarded).
n
- Downstream processing (boning, chilling, packaging, labelling and transfer systems) (highly regarded).
n
- Unlimited working rights within Australia.

- Ability to work alongside a diverse workforce.

- Driver's licence and reliable vehicle, or reliable means of getting to work.

- Vaccinated (or willing to be) against Q Fever.
