Assistant Venue Manager & Guest Experience Lead – Brisbane CBD About the role n

We’re looking for an energetic and experienced Assistant Venue Manager to join our Corbett & Claude team in Brisbane’s CBD.

n

Working closely with the Venue Manager, you’ll help lead the day-to-day operation of a busy, high-volume restaurant. You’ll be visible on the floor, confidently running shifts, supporting the team and ensuring every guest receives warm, attentive and engaging service.

n

This is an ideal chance for a strong hospitality supervisor or emerging manager who is ready to take on greater responsibility and continue developing toward future venue management.

Key responsibilities n

n
- Supporting the Venue Manager with the daily operation and performance of the venue
n
- Confidently leading busy lunch, evening and weekend services
n
- Managing reservations, guest arrivals, section allocations and overall floor flow
n
- Running clear pre-shift briefings and ensuring the team is prepared for service
n
- Coaching and supporting team members throughout each shift
n
- Maintaining high standards of service, presentation and professionalism
n
- Creating a positive atmosphere and keeping the team motivated during busy periods
n
- Handling guest feedback and resolving concerns calmly and professionally
n
- Supporting staff recruitment, onboarding and training
n
- Assisting with rosters, labour management and shift planning
n
- Completing opening and closing procedures, cash reconciliation and daily reporting
n
- Assisting with stock control,



ordering and beverage management
n
- Working closely with the kitchen team to maintain smooth communication and service flow
n
- Ensuring food safety, RSA, workplace health and safety, and company procedures are followed
n

- An outgoing, hands-on hospitality leader who genuinely enjoys working with people
n
- Confident running shifts and leading a team during busy services
n
- A strong communicator who can give clear direction while remaining approachable
n
- Organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility
n
- Able to read the room, stay calm under pressure and respond quickly when service changes
n
- Passionate about guest experience, team development and hospitality
n
- Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality venue
n
- Interested in developing your operational and commercial management skills
