Job Description

We regularly have opportunities in the Brisbane & SEQ Regions for aWorkplace Health and Safety Officer with Road Infrastructure experience interested in joining us and capable of committing to the following assignments for a period of approximately 2 years with a possibility of extensions and other projects.

Responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to: n

- Assist in the preparation & implementation of health and safety plans
n
- Complete risk assessments, audits, task observations and safety investigations
n
- Complete and maintain any documentation required on the project as per the Federal Safety Accreditation and ISO Accreditation requirements
n
- Ensure relevant legislation is adhered to
n
- Provide training and support to the team members
n
- Manage and develop relationships with employees and stakeholders
n

Essential Skills required undertaking this role: nn
- Must have a minimum 5 years’ WH&S; experience on TMR road infrastructure projects & conducted related Audits.
n
- Strong understanding of latest OH&S; legislation
n
- Experience working on road construction projects in the rural setting
n
- Time management and task prioritisation capabilities, with an ability to meet deadlines and manage pressure
n




- Excellent communication skills
n
- Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
n
- Qualified in OHS
n

The proposed hours are 36-45 per week, however longer hours & weekend work may be required to suit work load.

You must have: n

the right to work in Australia, with well-developed interpersonal and consultative skills and a current drivers licence.
