My client is a global manufacturer and provider of industrial automation and mechanical solutions, specialising in pneumatics, valves, actuators, motion control and automation equipment . With an established presence across industrial markets, my client supports customers across manufacturing, food & beverage, process industries and other technical environments.

This is an prospect for an experienced technical sales professional to take ownership of an established Queensland territory, strengthen existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for further growth.

About the Role

n

The Account Manager will be responsible for:

n

n
- Managing and growing an established portfolio of customers across Queensland.
n
- Building strong relationships with existing customers and key decision-makers.
n
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the territory.
n
- Promoting pneumatic, mechanical and industrial automation solutions.
n
- Conducting regular customer visits to understand applications, requirements and upcoming projects.
n
- Recommending suitable products and technical solutions based on customer needs.
n
- Preparing quotations and managing opportunities from initial enquiry through to order.
n
- Developing new accounts across manufacturing, food & beverage, process and other industrial markets.
n
- Working closely with my client's technical and customer service teams to support customer requirements.
n
- Maintaining accurate sales pipeline and customer activity information within CRM systems.
n




- Monitoring competitor and market activity to identify further opportunities for growth.
n
- Achieving agreed territory sales, account development and revenue targets.
n

About You

n

The successful candidate will have:

n

n
- Previous experience in Account Management, Technical Sales or Business Development within an industrial B2B environment.
n
- Experience selling mechanical equipment, pneumatics, automation or related industrial products .
n
- Exposure to pneumatic components, valves, actuators, sensors, motion control or automation equipment will be highly regarded.
n
- Proven ability to manage and grow an existing customer portfolio.
n
- Strong new business development and prospecting capabilities.
n
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
n
- The ability to understand technical applications and identify suitable solutions.
n
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
n
- A proactive approach to managing a sales territory and customer visit schedule.
n
- Experience using CRM systems to manage customer activity and sales opportunities.
n
- A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the territory as required.
