ABOUT THE ROLE: n

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a 12-month term contract. Reporting to the Payroll Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant and timely payroll processing, while contributing to continuous improvement across systems and processes.

In this role you will be responsible for:

n

n
- Perform Superannuation payment processing, including validation, reconciliation, and timely submission.
n
- Prepare, review, and lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions in accordance with ATO requirements.
n
- Validate payroll-related General Ledger (GL) reports and investigate variances.
n
- Support payroll balance sheet reconciliations, including payroll clearing accounts, employee deductions, superannuation, payroll tax, and other payroll liabilities.
n
- Prepare and lodge payroll tax returns across relevant jurisdictions.
n




- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding payroll-related matters.
n

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? nn
- Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including Superannuation Guarantee, Single Touch Payroll (STP) and Payroll Tax requirements
n
- Proven experience using Payroll systems
n
- Experience performing payroll-related General Ledger reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
n
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
n
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
n
