The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and assisting with tax compliance. This role will suit someone with strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting n

n
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
n
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journals.
n
- Ensure accuracy of the general ledger, balance sheet, and P&L; reporting.
n
- Assist with preparation of management reports and variance analysis.
n
- Support external audit requirements and liaise with auditors as needed.
n

Taxation & Compliance nn
- Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and FBT returns in a timely and accurate manner.
n




- Assist with corporate income tax returns and tax effect accounting.
n
- Monitor GST, PAYG, and payroll tax compliance.
n
- Liaise with external tax advisors and regulators where required.
n
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements.
n

Other Duties nn
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
n
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls and processes.
n
- Support ad-hoc finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
n

Key Requirements nn
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
n
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion.
n
- 2-4+ years' experience in financial accounting, preferably with some exposure to tax compliance.
n
- Solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and tax obligations.
n
- Ability to work in a quick paced environment.
n
- Strong Excel and ERP systems skills (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, or similar).
n
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
n
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
