The Role n

Temple Gym Varsity Lakes is looking for a Gym Receptionist to join our team and bring our vision to life on the ground, every single day. This is a role for someone who genuinely loves people, thrives on building community, and wants to be part of a gym that feels like a second home to its members.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the club including member experience, operations and performance — while championing the standards that make Temple Gym what it is.

What You'll Do n

- Set the standard for a warm, welcoming, no-judgement environment
n
- Own the member experience, from a great first visit to genuine, ongoing connection (learning names, making introductions, checking in on new members)

- Drive a culture of proactive service: staff noticing, helping and following up with members, not waiting to be asked
n
- Manage day-to-day club operations, including cleanliness, presentation and facility standards
n
- Support member retention and growth through classes, events and community initiatives
n
- Ensure the club reflects Temple Gym's values in everything from the welcome at reception to the way the floor is run
n

What We're Looking For nn
- Previous experience in a similar environment
n
- A natural people-leader, someone who can build a team culture around care, connection and consistency, not intimidation
n
- Strong organisational and operational skills
n
- A genuine belief in a people-first approach to fitness
n
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with members and staff alike
n
- Ideal for a current Personal Trainer ready to step into a reception role
n
- Certificate III and/or IV in Fitness (not essential)
n
