We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Die Setter to join their busy manufacturing and production team in Dandenong South.
The Role n
As a Die Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and preparing production machinery and tooling to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to specification.
Your duties will include: n
n
- Setting up and changing over dies and tooling on production machinery
n
- Installing, removing and positioning dies correctly
n
- Adjusting machine settings to ensure efficient production
n
- Setting machines to produce products to required specifications
n
- Conducting first-off and quality checks
n
- Monitoring production and making adjustments where required
n
- Identifying and resolving basic machine and tooling issues
n
- Checking products for defects, quality and sharp edges
n
- Assisting with production and general manufacturing duties when required
n
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
n
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
n
About You nn
- Previous experience as a Die Setter, Press Setter, Tool Setter or Machine Setter
n
- Experience working with dies, tooling and production machinery
n
- Manufacturing or metal production experience
n
- Ability to read and follow production instructions and basic drawings
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
n
- Good attention to detail and quality
n
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a production environment
n
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
n
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
n
