QAIAS is seeking a passionate and experienced nurse to join our dynamic team in New Farm, Queensland. This is a full-time or part-time role with the prospect to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders' communities.

What you'll be doing
n
n
- Providing high-quality nursing care to patients within our substance use treatment centre
n
- Conducting health assessments, developing and implementing individualised care plans
n
- Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver coordinated, trauma informed, patient-centred care
n
- Promoting health education and supporting clients in managing their own health
n
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
n
- Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
- Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA registration
n
- Demonstrated experience in community nursing
n
- Strong understanding of the social, cultural and health needs of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport
n
- Commitment to providing culturally safe and responsive care
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
n
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander nurses are encouraged to apply.
