Accountant Opportunity at Palmer Golf Courses n

Palmer Golf Courses, located on the Gold Coast, is seeking a skilled and motivated Accounts Officer to join our dynamic team. Our premium facilities offer excellent career advancement opportunities across various fields.

Key Responsibilities n

Managing the Accounts Payable function, including entering invoices, matching purchase orders, monitoring outstanding payments, and reconciling supplier statements promptly.

n

Overseeing the Accounts Receivable function, including issuing invoices, allocating daily payments, ensuring timely credit collection, and preparing weekly and monthly reports.

n

Managing stock control and conducting stocktakes.

n

Administering the Point of Sale (POS) system.

n

Assisting with payroll processes across multiple facilities.

n

Supporting bank reconciliations and month-end reporting.

n

Performing general administrative tasks, including filing, electronic file management, answering phone queries professionally,



and responding to email-based account inquiries.

Important Requirement - n

This role is based on the Gold Coast and requires regular travel to our Port Douglas golf course.

Essential Skills and Attributes n

A minimum of one year experience in AP&AR.;

n

Proficiency in MYOB and Point of Sale systems (highly desirable).

n

Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to quickly learn in-house systems and demonstrate rapid, accurate data entry.

n

Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

n

A positive, can-do attitude, with a willingness to embrace new challenges and take on tasks of varying complexity.

n

Meticulous attention to detail and adaptability to changing work requirements.

n

A valid driver’s license and access to personal transport.
