Position Objective:

n

We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager – Major Projects to identify and secure new project opportunities, strengthen key industry relationships, and grow Clevertronics’ market presence.

n

You will engage with customers and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from early project identification and specification through to delivery and ongoing support. You will also act as a trusted adviser, providing practical technical and commercial guidance on emergency lighting solutions.

Key Responsibilitiesn

n
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across major construction and upgrade projects.
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, wholesalers and key decision-makers.
n
- Develop and deliver strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
n




- Prepare and present professional sales presentations, proposals and product solutions.
n
- Provide technical and commercial advice to help customers select the most suitable Clevertronics products and systems.
n
- Project manage customer opportunities and act as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
n
- Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements in line with company objectives.
n
- Collaborate with sales, commissioning and other internal teams to support successful project delivery and documented LTS outcomes.
n
- Maintain current knowledge of competitors, market conditions, specifications and emergency lighting installation and maintenance requirements.
n
- Provide regular reporting and analysis on pipeline activity, opportunities and results.
n
- Represent Clevertronics at client meetings, industry events and functions, including occasional out-of-hours events.
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold Clevertronics quality, customer satisfaction and environmental management requirements.

Skills And Experiencesn

n About Youn

You are a proactive and results-focused business development professional who can build credibility,



uncover opportunities and manage complex customer relationships.

n

n
- At least five years’ experience in business development, sales or a similar role within the electrical, wholesale, construction or another technical industry.
n
- Electrical industry experience at a technical or commercial level is preferred but not essential.
n
- A demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-term customer relationships.
n
- Strategic thinking, commercial awareness and the ability to turn opportunities into actionable plans.
n
- Excellent organisation, presentation, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
n
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
n
- A current valid driver’s licence.
