Why this is an exciting opportunity n

Reporting to the Senior Manager Controls Assurance, you will play a key role in providing independent assurance and oversight across HUB24's control environment, partnering with stakeholders to strengthen risk management practices and support positive business outcomes.

What you’ll be doing n

n
- Conduct risk-based testing and reviews of key risk and compliance controls across the business to assess control effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
n
- Provide independent oversight and challenge of risk-taking activities across the HUB24 Group.
n
- Identify control gaps, areas for improvement and recommend practical solutions to strengthen the control environment.
n
- Monitor the effectiveness of the Risk Management Framework, risk culture and control environment, and report findings to stakeholders.
n
- Support the development and execution of the annual Controls Assurance Plan, including integration with Internal Audit activities.
n
- Conduct stress testing,



scenario analysis and post-implementation reviews of significant regulatory change initiatives.
n
- Support business teams in strengthening operational controls, compliance plans and audit readiness.
n
- Prepare assurance reporting, insights and updates for key stakeholders, leadership forums, Boards and Committees.
n

What you bring n

You don’t need to tick every box, but experience in the below will set you up for success.

Experience & Skills n

n
- Degree qualified in Law, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
n
- 2–3+ years' experience in controls assurance, audit, risk, compliance or a similar role within financial services.
n
- Experience working within an Australian financial services environment, ideally wealth management or a related sector.
n
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks, evaluate controls and interpret complex information.
n
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence outcomes.
n
- Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
n
- GRCI or RMIA accreditation will be highly regarded.
n
