XL, the industry pioneer and innovator since 1990, is seeking a reliable, experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our world-class Wacol team. We build OEM and custom truck bodies for Ford and Isuzu, work with modern machinery in an ISO-certified facility and set the standard for quality (Ford PRO Convertor, Isuzu IBAP Gold).

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for operating CNC cutting and folding machinery to produce high-quality sheet metal components to production specifications. This position is ideal for someone with experience in a manufacturing or fabrication workplace who takes pride in producing accurate work and maintaining high safety standards.
What You'll be Doing n
n
- Set up and operate CNC AMADA press brakes and SALVAGNINI panel folding machines
n
- Set up and operate CNC AMADA laser/punch combo and AMADA fiber laser
n
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
n
- Measure, inspect and verify finished components to ensure quality standards are met
n
- Handle and process sheet metal materials safely and efficiently
n
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
n
- Work effectively within a team environment
n
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements
n
What We're Looking For nn
- Experience operating CNC sheet metal cutting and folding machinery (essential)
n
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (essential)
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship (essential)
n
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused (essential)
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team (essential)
n
- Trade qualification in Sheet Metal, Engineering Fabrication or a related field (preferred)
n
- Current Forklift Licence (preferred)
n
