Oceanfront Hotel Cairns is a 155-room waterfront hotel. We're looking for an experienced, multi-skilled tradesperson to join our team and help keep the property looking its best.
About the role n
This is a full-time contract role covering painting, plastering and carpentry across guest rooms, common areas and back-of-house. You'll work closely with hotel management to plan and complete repairs, refurbishments and ongoing maintenance, while keeping disruption to guests to a minimum.
Duties include: n

- Interior painting, including preparation and touch-ups
n
- Plastering, patching and repairing walls and ceilings
n
- General carpentry: doors, frames, skirting, joinery and fit-out repairs
n
- Room refreshes and defect rectification
n
- Keeping work areas clean, safe and guest-ready
n
About you: n
n
- Proven trade experience in painting, plastering and/or carpentry (multi-skilled is a big plus)
n
- Current ABN and public liability insurance
n
- QBCC licence where required for the work
n
- White Card
n
- High-quality finish and attention to detail
n
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently
n
- Professional and respectful in a working hotel workplace with guests on site
n
