Insurance Customer Service Officer - Trainee n

MHIA Insurance is seeking an Insurance Customer Service Officer to join our team in Tuggerah, NSW. This full-time position includes a structured traineeship pathway, providing a fantastic chance to build a long-term career in the insurance industry while earning and learning. Through structured training, mentoring and hands-on experience, you'll develop the skills and confidence needed to become a successful insurance skilled while helping customers protect what matters most. You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our customers whilst developing valuable skills in insurance products, customer relations, and problem-solving that will serve you throughout your career.

No insurance experience? No problem. We're looking for people with a great attitude, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. We'll teach you the rest.

Key responsibilities

n

Building positive relationships with customers by providing friendly, knowledgeable and responsive service across phone, email and online channels.

n

Helping customers protect their homes by providing quotes, arranging cover and supporting them through policy changes throughout the life of their insurance.

n

Providing product knowledge and guidance to customers regarding insurance coverage options and features

n

Documenting customer interactions and maintaining accurate records in our systems

n

Resolving customer concerns and complaints promptly, escalating complex issues to senior staff when necessary

n





Supporting the broader customer service team to achieve department targets and service level agreements

n

Familiarising yourself with company procedures, policies, and insurance products through structured training programmes

n

Contributing to a positive team environment and collaborating with colleagues to maintain service quality

n
