Your Impact n

As Philanthropy Manager, you’ll help grow Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation’s philanthropy program, with a focus on major donors, trusts and foundations, Gifts in Wills and strategic donor stewardship.

You’ll build and deepen relationships with high-value supporters, developing tailored strategies that increase philanthropic investment in Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia’s mission.

The Role n

Reporting to the Global Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications, you will:

- Manage and grow a portfolio of major donor prospects and supporters
n
- Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward high-net-worth individuals
n
- Build relationships with trusts and foundations and develop compelling proposals and reports
n
- Contribute to the growth and stewardship of the Gifts in Wills program
n
- Develop tailored donor engagement and stewardship strategies
n
- Maintain donor pipelines, CRM records and philanthropy forecasts
n
- Prepare reporting for senior management and the Board
n
- Contribute to philanthropy strategy across Australia, New Zealand and future international markets
n

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing philanthropic opportunities and turning those relationships into meaningful support. You’ll bring initiative, sound fundraising judgement and the confidence to take ownership of a growing philanthropy portfolio.





The Organisation n

Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation (CHFF) supports Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia, providing life-changing treatment to women affected by obstetric fistula — a devastating childbirth injury that can leave women incontinent and facing stigma, isolation and loss of dignity.

Founded by Australian doctors Catherine and Reg Hamlin, Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia treats and prevents fistula through specialist care, education and midwifery training.

Based at CHFF’s Pyrmont headquarters, you’ll help grow the philanthropic support that makes this work possible.

What You Bring n

You’ll be a confident relationship builder who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to philanthropy. You’ll be comfortable building genuine relationships with donors and funders, developing compelling opportunities and playing a direct role in securing philanthropic support.

n

You don’t necessarily need to have held a Manager-level title before. We’re open to experienced fundraisers at Coordinator or similar level who have the capability and ambition to step up.

- Experience cultivating and securing philanthropic support, ideally across major gifts, trusts and foundations and/or Gifts in Wills
n
- Solid relationship management skills and the ability to build trust with donors and philanthropic partners
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling proposals and funding cases
n
- Strong donor stewardship skills and a genuine interest in building long-term relationships
n
- Experience using CRM systems, managing donor pipelines and contributing to fundraising reporting
n
- Strategic thinking, initiative and the ability to develop and implement fundraising plans
n
- The confidence and motivation to take ownership, get out and meet donors, and grow into the role
