Job Description

We're recruiting for a Sydney recruitment business that needs a hands on Finance Manager 3 days a week . You'll be the senior finance person and the one the Managing Director relies on for accurate numbers. It's not a role where you'll be stuck in one narrow area. You'll be across financial control, compliance, a fortnightly contingent pay cycle and how the whole finance function runs.

Key Responsibilities: n

- Leading financial control, including month end close, cash flow and monthly reporting
n
- Preparing budgets and tracking actuals against forecast, with variance commentary the Managing Director can use
n
- Producing monthly commission reports
n
- Lodging payroll tax and BAS
n
- Coordinating external audits and government reporting across NSW, QLD and ACT, including Scheme 0007, Scheme 012 and GGCS0060 panels
n
- Managing insurances, WHS and workers compensation
n
- Overseeing the fortnightly pay cycle for 100+ contractors and contingent staff, including super
n
- Mentoring the Accounts Assistant,



who looks after contractor pay and is keen to grow
n
- Improving processes and systems as the business evolves
n

What We're Looking For: nn
- CPA or CA qualified
n
- Hands on experience in a small to mid size business, not just oversight
n
- Contingent pay cycle, debtor finance or audit experience
n
- Recruitment or labour hire background is a plus
n
- MYOB experience preferred, plus exposure to Astute, JobAdder, Employment Hero and Dext
n
- Articulate and qualified, with the confidence to represent the business to consultants and clients
n
- Consistent and dependable
n
