T & G Flower growers is a family run flower grower and wholesaler business.

We are currently seeking a full time Primary Products Assurance and Inspection Officer for our business located in Homebush West.

n
nYour duties will include: n
n

n
n
- Inspect flowers other plant products for quality, freshness and condition.
n
n
- Check incoming products against quality standards.
n
n
- Identify damaged, diseased, contaminated or poor-quality flowers and plant products.
n
n
- Check products for pests, diseases and other biosecurity risks or issues.
n
n
- Check the grading, size, maturity, appearance and quality of flowers and foliage.
n
n
- Monitor the handling, storage, packing and transportation of products to maintain quality.
n
n
- Monitor temperature, hydration, cleanliness and other conditions that affect product quality.
n
n
- Develop and follow quality inspection procedures and checklists.
n
n
- Keep records of inspections, product defects, rejected products and corrective actions.
n
n
- Investigate the causes of recurring product quality problems.
n
n




- Recommend corrective actions to improve product quality and reduce product wastage.
n
n
- Monitor growers and suppliers to ensure products meet agreed quality requirements.
n
n
- Inspect products before dispatch to ensure they meet customer and company standards.
n
n
- Investigate customer complaints and returned products relating to quality issues.
n
n
- Provide advice to staff, growers and suppliers about product quality, handling, pests and diseases.
n
n
- Assist with quality assurance audits and compliance activities.
n
n
- Train staff in product inspection, quality standards, handling and storage procedures.
n
n
- Prepare quality inspection and assurance reports for management.
n
n
- Perform other quality assurance and inspection duties related to the company's flowers, foliage and other primary products.
n
n

nRequirements of position n
n

n
- Relevant Diploma and at least 1 year of relevant work experience or 3 years work experience to substitute formal qualification
