Job Description

ARA Manufacture is seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our growing team at our facility in Caringbah, NSW. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on diverse fabrication and welding projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for producing high-quality welded and fabricated components using both traditional and modern welding techniques. This role is crucial to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring our clients receive superior craftsmanship and reliability.

Key responsibilities n

Perform manual and semi-automatic welding operations using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques

n

Fabricate, assemble and construct metal structures and components according to specifications and technical drawings

n

Inspect completed work for quality, dimensional accuracy and structural integrity

n

Operate cutting equipment including oxy-acetylene torches and angle grinders

n

Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

n

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to specification

n

Maintain a protected and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety requirements

n

Maintain welding equipment and tools, reporting any faults or maintenance needs

n

Test welds and perform quality checks to ensure compliance with industry standards

What we’re looking for n

Current welding certification or extensive hands-on welding experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple welding processes

n

Proven experience in fabrication and metalworking within the trades and manufacturing sector

n

Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications

n





Knowledge of welding safety standards, procedures and best practices

n

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

n

Physical fitness and ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods.

n

Reliability, strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines

n

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

n

Experience with stainless steel or aluminium welding is desirable

n

Knowledge of quality control procedures and testing methods is an advantage
