ABOUT THE JOB n

Launch your career in supply chain operations with this exciting 2-year traineeship! As a Trainee Supply Officer, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Supply Chain Operations through a combination of on-the-job learning and online study with TAFE.

Working alongside an experienced team, you'll develop practical skills in warehousing, inventory management and customer service, building a strong foundation for a future career in the industry.

In this role, you will:

- Support the day-to-day operations of Council's supply store.
n
- Gain practical experience in warehousing and stock management.
n
- Assist customers with enquiries and service requests.
n
- Receive, reconcile and issue stock using Council's inventory systems.
n
- Contribute to the security and organisation of the store.
n
- Complete traineeship training and development activities.
n
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, excellence and integrity.
n

Based at Council's Work Depot in Boolaroo, this position works a roster between 6:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work required with notice.

To be successful, you will have:

- Year 10 Record of School Achievement (RoSA) or equivalent, with satisfactory results in English and Mathematics.
n
- A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
n
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Basic computer literacy and numeracy skills.
n
- The ability to follow instructions and processes with a high level of attention to detail.
n
- A commitment to completing a 24-month traineeship.
n
- A willingness to learn, develop new skills and take on feedback.
n
- A strong focus on safety and a desire to contribute to a culture of excellence and integrity.

CANDIDATES who have already completed a Certificate IV in Supply Chain Operations, Warehousing, a related qualification, or any higher-level qualification may not be eligible to apply.
