McArthur is currently seeking an experienced Property Project Manager to join a major Western Sydney local government organisation within its Property Services function.

n

This is a specialist property opportunity suited to someone with strong experience across commercial leasing, property negotiations and project delivery . The successful candidate will manage a range of commercial and telecommunications property matters, including lease negotiations, approvals, stakeholder consultation and strategic project programs.

The role

n

You will be responsible for:

n

n
- Managing negotiations for commercial leases, including rental terms, conditions and associated approvals
n
- Managing telecommunications lease and property matters from negotiation through to approval
n
- Preparing formal reports, recommendations and supporting documentation for consideration and approval
n
- Coordinating community consultation and engagement where required
n
- Developing, implementing and monitoring strategic property and special project delivery programs
n




- Preparing and monitoring operating plans and project budgets
n
- Providing strategic advice on issues affecting project delivery
n
- Working closely with senior Property Services stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered within required timeframes
n
- Reviewing programs and processes to ensure value for money, compliance and best practice
n
- Managing contractors and ensuring appropriate qualifications, licences and standards are maintained
n
- Maintaining accurate project, property and lease information within organisational systems
n
- Reviewing relevant policies and procedures and identifying opportunities for improvement
n
- Providing regular project, progress and status reporting to senior stakeholders
n
- Managing emerging issues and providing practical recommendations and solutions
n

About you

n

To be successful, you will ideally bring:

n

n
- Qualifications in project management, project coordination, property or a related discipline
n
- Demonstrated experience managing property or project activities within local government, the broader public sector or a large multidisciplinary organisation
n
- Strong experience in commercial lease negotiations ,



including rental terms and conditions
n
- Well-developed negotiation, mediation and conflict-resolution skills
n
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work with senior executives, consultants, contractors, government stakeholders and the community
n
- Experience preparing high-quality reports, briefs, recommendations and approval documentation
n
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, project programs, risks and competing priorities
n
- Sound understanding of governance, compliance and relevant legislative requirements
n
- Knowledge of government procurement and works delivery will be highly regarded
n
- Experience with telecommunications property, site acquisition, telecommunications leases or licence agreements will be highly regarded
n

This position would particularly suit an experienced Property Manager, Leasing Manager, Transaction Manager, Property Project Manager or Telecommunications Site Acquisition/Property skilled looking to take ownership of a varied portfolio of strategic property matters.
