The Opportunity n

An established industry leading electrical services contractor is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their growing team in Melbourne, Port Melbourne.

n

This is an opportunity to take ownership of electrical tenders across a range of commercial, industrial and critical infrastructure projects, working closely with the pre-construction, project delivery and commercial teams.

n

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical construction and be confident taking a project from initial documentation through to a competitive and accurate tender submission.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Prepare accurate and competitive electrical tenders and estimates.
n
- Review project documentation, drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
n
- Complete detailed material, labour and subcontractor take-offs.
n
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
n
- Identify project risks, exclusions, variations and commercial opportunities.
n
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
n
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and the wider delivery team.
n
- Assist with tender presentations, negotiations and handovers.
n




- Maintain accurate estimating documentation and pricing records.
n
- Contribute to improving estimating processes and maintaining strong project margins.
n

About You n

The successful candidate will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within an electrical contractor or building services environment.
n
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction methodologies, materials and installation.
n
- Experience estimating commercial, industrial, infrastructure or other complex electrical projects.
n
- The ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and scopes.
n
- Strong understanding of labour, material and subcontractor pricing.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
n
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
n
- The ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
n
- Relevant electrical engineering, trade or construction qualifications are advantageous.
n
