Senior Accountant | Business Services n

$90,000 + Super, Brisbane CBD Office

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Accountant to join the Business Services team of a highly regarded national accounting and advisory firm in Brisbane.

n

This is a great move for someone who enjoys the technical side of Business Services but also wants more client interaction, advisory exposure and a clear pathway forward.

You’ll be joining a well-established firm with a strong reputation in the Australian market, modern Brisbane CBD offices and a genuinely supportive culture. The Role n

Working with a varied portfolio of businesses and private clients, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns
n
- Working across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
n
- Preparing BAS, IAS and other compliance requirements
n
- Tax planning and general taxation advice
n
- Management reporting and year-end work
n
- Assisting clients with day‑to‑day accounting and business matters
n
- Building robust relationships and communicating directly with clients
n
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional commercial and advisory support
n
- Assisting and mentoring junior team members
n
- Working closely with Managers and Partners on more complex client matters
n

n

Importantly, this is not a purely compliance‑focused position. There is plenty of prospect to build your commercial skills, work directly with clients and develop into a trusted advisor.

About You n

We’re looking for someone who has:

n

n




- Around 3-5+ years’ experience within Australian Public Practice
n
- Strong Business Services and taxation experience
n
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
n
- Good knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements
n
- CA/CPA qualification completed or underway
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
- Confidence dealing directly with clients
n
- A genuine interest in progressing their career within Public Practice
n
