Job Description

A national, ASX-listed civil construction group has acquired a Brisbane-based civil business of around 200 users. It now needs an experienced on-site lead to bring that business's technology and IT services onto group platforms, standards and support.

This is not a hands-on engineering role or a helpdesk position. Group technical teams and specialist delivery partners will do the engineering. Your job is to own the transition, hold every party to the plan, and leave behind a stable, supportable workplace.

The role n

n
- Build and run one integrated roadmap across ERP (Vista), identity and Microsoft 365, devices, networks, data, security and infrastructure retirement
n
- Lead the phased transition of support from the incumbent external provider to the group's internal IT teams, through to a signed-off exit
n
- Coordinate testing, cutover, rollback and post go-live stabilisation, protecting payroll, month-end and site operations
n
- Work closely with local leadership and staff across finance, payroll, operations, estimating, survey, plant and HSEQ, and earn their trust through visible progress and reliable follow-through

- Establish clear business ownership of systems, data and process decisions
n
- Manage risks, supplier scopes, licensing and costs within group governance
n

About you nn
- You have led an acquisition integration, MSP insourcing or IT service transition before, ideally more than once
n
- You plan well, manage dependencies, handle governance and know what a clean cutover and operational handover look like
n
- You know Microsoft 365, Entra, Azure, endpoint management, networks and enterprise applications well enough to challenge a delivery plan without doing the build yourself
n
- You have managed multiple suppliers against statements of work and acceptance criteria
n
- You are credible with site teams and senior leaders alike, and you explain change in plain language
n
- Experience in civil construction, infrastructure or Defence-linked environments is highly regarded
n
