Job Description About the Role n

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Aged or Disabled Carer to join our growing care team. The successful candidate will provide person-centred assistance and support to older people and/or people with disability, helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, wellbeing and participation in everyday life.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- assisting clients with personal care and daily living activities
n
- providing mobility assistance and support with transfers
n
- assisting clients with dressing, grooming, hygiene and other personal care needs
n
- supporting clients with meal preparation and eating where required
n
- assisting clients to participate in community, social and recreational activities
n
- providing companionship and emotional support
n
- supporting clients to maintain independence and quality of life
n
- assisting with household and routine daily activities where required
n
- observing clients' wellbeing and reporting relevant changes or concerns
n
- maintaining accurate care notes and service records
n
- following individual care and support plans
n
- working collaboratively with families, carers and other care professionals
n
- complying with workplace health and safety, infection control,



safeguarding and organisational policies
n

Qualifications and Experience nn
- a relevant AQF Certificate III or higher qualification, such as Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability), or an equivalent relevant qualification
n
- relevant experience demonstrating the skills required for the position
n
- relevant experience in aged care, disability support or a closely related care environment
n
- good communication and interpersonal skills
n
- an understanding of person-centred care
n
- the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team
n
- a current National Police Check or ability to obtain one
n
- an NDIS Worker Screening Check where required
n
- First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it
n
- a valid driver's licence where driving is required as part of the position
n
