nAre you a Registered Nurse looking for a fulfilling role in a supportive rural health setting? We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse – Grade 2 to join a Nursing team and help deliver safe, high-quality patient care to the local community.n
About the Role n
nReporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering effective, efficient and quality patient care across the acute and sub-acute settings at Orbost Regional Health. This is a genuine prospect to broaden your clinical scope in a close-knit rural facility where no two days look the same.n
Key Responsibilities n

- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care within professional, legal and ethical standards
n
- Assess patients' health needs and expected outcomes, and develop care plans in collaboration with the broader healthcare team
n




- Involve patients in planning and delivering their own care
n
- Liaise with medical, clinical and senior nursing staff when additional expertise is required
n
- Deliver patient education and appropriately document advice given
n
- Maintain accurate, contemporary clinical records
n
- Assist with discharge planning
n
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
n
- Participate in the patient admission process
n
- Contribute to relevant hospital committees
n
- Support the orientation of new staff
n
- Participate in projects and other duties as required
n

About You We're looking for candidates with a background in one or more of the following:n

- Acute Medical/Surgical nursing
n
- Generalist nursing
n
- Emergency Department (ED) nursing
n
- Rural/generalist hospital nursing
n
- Combined acute and aged care/sub-acute experience
n
