Development Economist (AI Training) n

We're looking for development economists to help shape how AI understands global and development economics. Your expertise will directly influence the accuracy, nuance, and real-world relevance of AI systems tackling some of the world's most complex economic questions — from poverty and inequality to growth, trade, and international development.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role powered by Alignerr (by Labelbox), designed to fit around your existing schedule.

What You'll Do nn
- Review and evaluate AI-generated development economics content for accuracy, depth, and contextual nuance
n
- Assess AI reasoning on topics such as economic growth, poverty reduction, inequality, and global development policy
n
- Provide structured, expert feedback to improve the quality of AI training data
n
- Validate real-world and academic economic scenarios using your professional or research experience
n
- Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments — no meetings required
n





Who You Are nn
- 3+ years of experience in development economics through research, teaching, or applied work
n
- Strong command of global economic issues, data interpretation, and economic reasoning
n
- Able to critically evaluate written economic arguments and identify gaps or errors
n
- Comfortable working with structured review tasks and detailed guidelines
n
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to meet deadlines independently
n

Nice to Have nn
- Graduate degree in Economics or a related field
n
- Experience in field research, NGO work, or international economic policy
n
- Familiarity with AI systems, content evaluation, or data annotation workflows
n
