nAn excellent opportunity has opened up for an Assistant Accountant - and fluent Mandarin speaker - to join the Sydney office of a well-established international company. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you'll play a key part in the day-to-day finance function, gaining broad exposure across accounting operations, reporting and governance in a banking environment. n
nResponsibilities include: n

n
- Preparing daily bank reconciliations and investigating any variances
n
n
- Processing expense reimbursements and managing expense invoices
n
n




- Monitoring expenditure against budget
n
n
- Processing accounts payable
n
n
- Preparing and posting manual journals
n
n
- Preparing daily balance sheet and P&L; reports and investigating significant movements
n
n
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
n
n
- Supporting month-end reporting, reconciliations and Head Office reporting
n
n
- General filing and ad hoc tasks
n
n

n
nAbout you n
n

n
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
n
n
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
n
n
- Fluent Mandarin (essential)
n
n
- Advanced Excel and strong Word skills
n
n
- Excellent communication and time management skills
n
n
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay accurate under pressure
n
n
- A proactive, team-focused attitude
n
n
