About the role n

We are seeking a Factory Hand to join SafeWater Solutions on a casual basis . This role is based in Coolangatta (Kirra), QLD 4225 and offers flexible work opportunities within our manufacturing and assembly operations. As a Factory Hand, you will play a vital role in supporting our production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are maintained across our small facility in Kirra.

What you’ll be doing n

n
- PVC and PE plastic fabrication and assembly
n
- Fabrication of Aluminium frames and brackets ready for powder coating
n
- Performing manual assembly and packaging tasks to meet production schedules and quality standards
n
- Preparing materials and components for production processes
n
- Conducting quality inspections on finished products to identify defects or inconsistencies
n
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
n
- Operating walkie stacker, drills, presses, grinders and other hand tools as required
n
- Assisting with inventory management and stock control
n
- Following standard operating procedures and company safety guidelines at all times
n
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisory staff
n
- Supporting team members to ensure smooth production operations
n

What we’re looking for nn
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or factory environment is highly desirable
n




- Physical capability to perform manual labour, including standing for extended periods and lifting items weighing up to 20 kilograms
n
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
n
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely in compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
n
- Solid work ethic and reliability, with flexibility to accommodate casual work arrangements
n
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
n
- Basic mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and recording data
n
- Willingness to operate machinery and equipment safely after appropriate training
n
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards continuous learning
