We’re seeking an Senior Structural Engineer – Temporary Works to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role can be based out of any of east coast offices' — giving you the flexibility to build your career while enjoying the coastal lifestyle.

The Role n

As an Senior Structural Engineer – Temporary Works, you will contribute to the analysis, design, and delivery of a wide range of temporary works projects, supporting safe and practical construction outcomes.

n

This is a role for someone who is technically capable, detail-focused, and ready to take ownership while continuing to grow.

Key Responsibilities n

Conduct structural analysis and design for temporary works projects

n

Assist in developing construction methodologies and erection sequences

n

Undertake detailed temporary works design and assess impacts on permanent works

n





Produce structural mark-ups for clients and internal drafting teams

n

Support schematic, preliminary, tender, and construction documentation

n

Perform design analysis using accepted methods and company software

n

Provide technical guidance to Graduate Engineers and drafting teams

n

Participate in QA reviews and technical document checks

n

Attend site inspections, assess shop drawings, variations, and defect inspections

n

Contribute to weekly resourcing and project planning meetings

n

Collaborate with architects, contractors, and key stakeholders

n

Respond to workshop and site queries during construction

About You n

You’re technically strong, motivated, and comfortable working both independently and within a team.

n

You’ll bring:

n

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering

n

4+ years’ structural design experience, particularly in temporary works

n

CPEng qualified or actively pursuing Chartered status

n

Eligibility for Engineers Australia membership

n

High proficiency in steel and reinforced concrete design

n

Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and local design practices

n

Experience producing detailed engineering sketches and drawings

n

Proficiency in Space Gass, Structural Toolkit, Bluebeam, Hilti Profis, RAM Concept (or similar)

n

Sound understanding of construction methodology and its impact on design

n

Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail

n

Clear communication and collaboration skills
