Metroll is seeking an experienced and safety-focused HC Truck Driver to join our Rockhampton team.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Operations Manager , you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of roofing and steel building products to customers across Rockhampton and surrounding regional areas.

n

This is a hands-on role that combines driving, customer service, and operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

• Safely operating HC vehicles for local and regional deliveries
n • Loading, securing, and unloading steel products in accordance with safety requirements
n • Conducting daily vehicle inspections and pre-start checks
n • Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time
n • Maintaining proof of delivery documentation and delivery records
n • Providing professional customer service at delivery sites
n • Assisting with yard and warehouse duties when required
n • Complying with all Chain of Responsibility (CoR),



fatigue management, and load restraint requirements

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

n

• Current HC (Heavy Combination) licence
n • Previous experience operating HC vehicles
n • A robust commitment to safety and compliance
n • Understanding of load restraint and transport regulations
n • Good communication and customer service skills
n • A reliable, punctual, and self-motivated approach
n • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

n

• Current forklift licence
n • Experience within the steel, roofing, manufacturing, or building products industry
n • Previous experience with local and regional deliveries
