Job Description

YIMBA Legal & Consulting (YIMBA) is seeking a high-performing lawyer to join our growing Sydney-based team. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and clients across a diverse range of legal and consulting matters. We are open to candidates with 2–5+ years' experience including more experienced lawyers seeking greater autonomy, client exposure and involvement in more complex, high-impact matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering commercially focused legal advice and consulting services across major projects, government engagements and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander matters.

Key responsibilities n

- Deliver high-quality legal and commercial advice across a range of matters
n
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and project documentation
n
- Provide advisory services in construction, infrastructure and commercial contexts
n
- Support and manage legal and consulting workstreams (depending on experience)
n
- Undertake legal research and prepare concise advice
n
- Support project delivery including contract administration and commercial management
n
- Contribute to business development, bids and client relationship management
n
- Engage with clients, industry stakeholders and community representatives
n
- Conduct research on legal issues, statutes and regulations
n




- Assist to manage and develop legal precedents
n

About you nn
- 2–5+ years' experience
n
- Ability to deliver high-quality legal and commercial advice
n
- Capability to draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and project documentation
n
- Experience in construction, infrastructure and commercial contexts
n
- Legal research and advice preparation skills
n
- Project delivery experience including contract administration and commercial management
n
- Business development and client relationship management capability
