As a part of the Livestock team, the core duties would be:

Responsibilities n

n
- Knowledge and practice of low stress livestock handling practices
n
- Mustering independently and as a team
n
- Administering of medication to sick animals, when required, in consultation with Vet.
n
- Safely and effectively undertake pen walking.
n
- When necessary, operate heavy machinery as required including but not limited to Front End loader, Feed Tractor, Bobcat.
n
- When necessary, perform general repairs and maintenance of equipment as required including the use of grinder, welder, and other power tools
n
- Monitoring the conditions of livestock
n
- Water Management; Creation and delivering specialized cattle feed rations to specifications
n
- Monitoring the receiving and storage of rations
n




- Maintenance and operation of heavy machinery as required
n
- Maintenance and servicing of both machinery and fences
n
- General station work - fencing and water repairs
n
- Receival, Induction and exiting of animals to and from the Feedlot.
n
- Accurate recording of data capture relating to animal movements, treatment and processes.
n
- Responsible for monitoring animal welfare and making recommendations in relation to animal health to Management.
n

Qualifications and experience nn
- AQF Advance Diploma or equivalent, or at least three years of relevant Livestock experience - Low stress handling
n

- Willingness to learn.
n
- Attractive remuneration package between $70,000 to $80,000, dependent on experience
