Job Description

Pacific Plastic Surgery Clinic is seeking an experienced, skilled and highly organised Medical Receptionist to join our specialist surgical practice on a permanent part-time basis.

Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in medical reception. This is an essential requirement.

We are a busy plastic and reconstructive surgery practice providing high-quality patient care in a professional and supportive environment.

About the Role n

Working 2 days per week, you will be responsible for supporting the productive day-to-day operations of our practice and providing exceptional patient service.

Key responsibilities include: n

- Managing patient appointments, enquiries and incoming calls
n
- Coordinating busy specialist consulting sessions
n
- Processing Medicare, private health insurance and patient billing
n
- Managing patient records, referrals and clinical correspondence
n
- Liaising with surgeons, nursing staff, hospitals and referring practitioners
n
- Handling patient enquiries professionally and confidentially
n
- Providing general administrative support to the practice
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a medical receptionist role
n
- Sound knowledge of Medicare billing and medical administration
n
- Excellent communicator and customer service skills
n
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
n




- Ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands
n
- Confidence working independently in a busy medical environment
n
- A proactive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork
n
- Professional presentation and a patient-focused approach
n
- Experience in specialist medical or surgical practices and familiarity with Xestro will be highly regarded.
