About the Role
n
We are seeking an Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join a Market Systems team supporting and enhancing business-critical billing and metering applications.
n
This is a hands-on development role suited to a mid-level developer with approximately 5 years of experience who is confident working within established Oracle environments and existing PL/SQL codebases.
n
You will develop, maintain and enhance Oracle database solutions and PL/SQL applications, working across regulatory initiatives, platform enhancements and business-driven projects. You'll work closely with developers, technical analysts, business analysts and delivery teams while also assisting with troubleshooting, defect resolution and production support.
n
The position provides an opportunity to work on important operational systems while a broader Billing Transformation Program delivers the organisation's future-state technology platform.

About You
n
n
- Approximately 5 years' experience in Oracle/PLSQL development
n
- Strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions and triggers
n
- Strong SQL development and database querying skills
n
- Experience maintaining and enhancing existing production applications
n
- Ability to troubleshoot defects and resolve complex database issues
n
- Experience with SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning
n
- Understanding of database design and Oracle database objects
n
- Experience across development, testing, deployment and production support
n
- UNIX/Linux or shell scripting experience advantageous
n
- Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ) experience advantageous
n
- Utilities, energy, billing or metering experience highly regarded
n
- Solid communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams
n
