n Join the wonderful team at St Francis Xavier OSHC in Runaway Bay as an Assistant Coordinator. You’ll work alongside an experienced Coordinator and dedicated team of educators to create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can explore, learn and grow.
n St Francis Xavier Outside School Hours Care provides Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care for up to 120 children. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator looking to develop their leadership skills while making a meaningful difference to children, families and the wider school community.
About the Role
n As the Assistant Coordinator, you will provide leadership and guidance to the educator team while supporting the Coordinator with the effective day-to-day operation of the service.You will:

- Support and guide educators to provide high-quality care and engaging experiences for children
n
- Assist with the daily operations of the service, including staffing, supervision and administration
n
- Support the planning, implementation and documentation of engaging programs and activities
n
- Assist with maintaining compliance with the National Quality Framework, service policies and Catholic Early EdCare requirements
n
- Step into the Responsible Person role when required
n
- Support positive and professional relationships with children, families, educators and the school community
n
- Assist with family communication and responding to enquiries
n
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and welcoming workplace for all children
n




- Support continuous improvement and contribute to the ongoing development of the service
n
- Work collaboratively with the Coordinator and educator team to achieve positive outcomes for children and families
n
- Get involved in exciting Vacation Care programs and excursions
n

- Experience working in an OSHC or similar education and care environment
n
- A passion for creating positive experiences for children
n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Confidence supporting and guiding a team
n
- An understanding of the National Quality Framework and relevant compliance requirements

- The ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
n
- A proactive and collaborative approach to daily operations
