The Role n

Your responsibilities will include:
n

- n
Prepare metal components and fabricated assemblies for painting
n
- n
Clean, sand and mask surfaces prior to coating
n
- n
Mix paints and coatings in accordance with manufacturer and job specifications
n
- n
Apply primers, topcoats and protective coatings using industrial spray equipment
n
- n
Apply sealants and silicone where required
n
- n
Follow paint specifications, work instructions and coating requirements
n
- n
Achieve required coating thickness, coverage and finish
n
- n
Inspect completed work for defects and ensure a consistent, high‑quality finish
n
- n
Measure and record coating thickness where required
n
- n
Maintain spray guns and associated painting equipment
n
- n
Maintain a clean,
organised and safe work area
n
- n
Follow workplace safety procedures relating to paints, chemicals, PPE and ventilation
n
What We're Looking For n
n
n
- n
Experience as an Industrial Spray Painter or in a similar industrial painting role
n
- n
Experience preparing and painting metal components and fabricated structures
n
- n
Good knowledge of surface preparation and industrial coating application
n
- n
Experience using industrial spray painting equipment
n
- n
Ability to mix and apply paints and coatings to specification
n
- n
Ability to follow work instructions and coating specifications
n
- n
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing a high‑quality finish
n
- n
Good understanding of workplace safety requirements when working with paints and coatings
n
- n
Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a manufacturing team
n
n
A Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application, or equivalent trade qualification, would be highly regarded but is not essential for applicants with suitable industrial painting experience.
n
Experience with powder coating would also be highly regarded but is not essential.
n
This is a full‑time, permanent day‑shift position offering stable, long‑term employment in an established Australian manufacturing workplace. You will work in a modern industrial paint facility, applying high‑quality finishes to a variety of fabricated components and assemblies as part of an experienced manufacturing team.
