Winmalee Family Smiles is a growing, locally owned dental practice situated in the heart of Winmalee Village in the beautiful Blue Mountains.

As our practice continues to grow, we're looking for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Dental Receptionist to join our team.

We're offering a flexible casual position with a variety of weekday shifts , making this a great opportunity for someone seeking a supportive workplace with some flexibility in their roster.

About the Role n

As one of the first and last points of contact for our patients, you'll play an significant role in creating a welcoming experience and keeping our practice running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include n

- Greeting patients and creating a friendly, professional setting.
n
- Managing appointment bookings, cancellations, recalls and follow-ups.
n
- Handling phone calls, emails and patient enquiries.
n
- Processing payments, HICAPS health fund claims and Medicare claims.
n
- Coordinating with dentists and dental assistants to maintain efficient appointment schedules.
n
- Managing patient records and general administrative duties.
n
- Assisting with daily opening and closing procedures.
n
- Supporting the wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
n

Working Hours & Flexibility n

This is a casual position with shifts available Monday to Friday .

Our roster includes a combination of:

n

n
- Morning shifts for earlier starts.
n
- Afternoon and evening shifts for later finishes.
n
- Full-day shifts depending on practice requirements.
n

n

We're looking for someone who can offer flexibility across different shift times, rather than being restricted to mornings or evenings exclusively.

n





We understand that everyone has commitments outside of work, and we're happy to discuss your availability to find an arrangement that works for both you and the practice.

The number and pattern of shifts may vary depending on operational requirements and staff availability.

What We're Looking For n

We're looking for someone who is positive, reliable, proactive and genuinely enjoys working with people.

Our ideal candidate will have n

- Previous dental reception experience (highly advantageous).

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
n
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
n
- Confidence managing multiple tasks in a busy environment.
n
- A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively.
n
- Reliability, punctuality and professional presentation.
n
- Flexibility to work a mixture of weekday shifts.

Experience with dental software, HICAPS, Medicare claims and dental terminology will be highly regarded.

n

Candidates with previous dental assisting experience are also strongly encouraged to apply.
