Public Sector People are currently partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for Traffic Engineer.n

Position: Traffic Engineern
Contract length: 12 months with potential for additional 12 month extensionn
Pay rate: Up to $85 p/h + Super n

nResponsibilities: n
n

n
- Investigate traffic-related concerns raised by residents or stakeholders, conduct traffic studies (e.g., speed, volume, accident analysis), and design safety improvements such as signage, line marking, speed calming devices, and intersection upgrades.
n
- Review and provide expert traffic engineering advice on Development Applications, including assessing traffic and parking impacts, access design, and recommending conditions of consent where necessary.
n
- Investigate traffic requests by the community, conduct site inspections and traffic studies,



and develop solutions to enhance road safety and network performance.
n

nEssential:n
n

n
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Traffic Engineering, and eligible to become a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers, Australia
n
- Minimum 12 months experience in a Traffic Engineering position for local government
n
