Due to recent growth, we have a fantastic opportunity available for a driven Senior Project Engineer (SPE) to join our leadership team, overseeing projects from Brisbane to Coffs Harbour.
n
Reporting to the Project Manager, the SPE will be responsible for:
n
n
- Providing engineering and project management support onsite to supervisory and project staff to deliver successful execution of multiple projects
n
- Developing cost effective engineering solutions; working collaboratively with the Hawthorne Civil team and clients
n
- Managing and monitoring progress and performance against safety, time, cost, and quality targets to achieve successful outcomes
n
- Monthly forecasting of time and cost outcomes at project completion
n
- Procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers, along with plant,
equipment, and material across multiple projects
n
- Undertaking inspections of temporary works and pre-pour inspections
n
- Preparing monthly financial and progress reports
n
n
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
n
n
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, RPEQ a bonus
n
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction industry – TMR and RMS structures highly desirable
n
- Demonstrable experience in project engineering, including the development of program of works, cost tracking and forecasting
n
- Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and implementation
n
- Excellent client relationship management
n
- A straight shooter with excellent problem solving capability
n
n
