A leading company in the heart of Sydney is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their technical engineering team developing software used to test, validate and troubleshoot complex electronic hardware.

n This is a hands-on engineering role combining Python software development, Linux systems, hardware integration and automated testing.

n The role also offers the opportunity to transition into a team lead role.

n You'll work closely with hardware and software engineers, developing tools and diagnostic applications that help identify hardware faults, verify system performance and support new products through development and into production.

n Required Skills:

n

n
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
n
- Robust Python programming skills, including object-oriented software design.
n
- Solid understanding of Linux operating systems, including debugging and system-level troubleshooting.
n




- Experience developing software tools for testing, diagnostics or hardware validation.
n
- Ability to investigate complex faults involving both hardware and software.
n
- Familiarity with communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, PCIe, etc.
n
- Familiarity with embedded systems or hardware devices
n
- Technical mentoring or leading software development activities a plus
n
- Good communication skills
