Casual Medical Receptionist | Specialist Practice, Spring Hill n

Brisbane Rheumatology is a specialist practice at 135 Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill, with ten rheumatologists across Level 3 and Level 9. We care for patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions, providing evidence-based treatment and compassionate care. We're growing, and we're building a pool of reliable casual receptionists to support our team.

About the role

n

As a casual medical receptionist, you'll work on our front desk across Level 3 and Level 9, supporting our specialists and patients on the days that suit you. You'll join an experienced, supportive reception team, with full training in our systems. Part-time is also considered. Studying biomedical science or another health degree? This role is a great way to gain hands-on experience in a specialist practice.

- $37–$42 per hour including 25% casual loading, depending on experience

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Answering phones and managing bookings for our specialists
n
- Welcoming patients, checking them in and out, and processing payments
n
- Checking referrals are valid and on file before appointments
n
- Handling correspondence, scanning and general administration
n
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- At least 12 months' experience in medical reception (specialist practice preferred)
n
- Friendly, calm and clear on the phone, even when it's busy
n
- Accurate with data entry and patient details
n
- Available for at least two weekdays a week, or for leave and school-holiday cover
n
- Gentu or other practice management software experience, or a Certificate III/IV in Health Administration, is highly regarded
n
