The Smiles Dentacare is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our growing team on a casual basis, with the potential to progress into a part-time or full-time position .

Our dental services are delivered predominantly through mobile dental vans and HQ and aged care facilities , providing dental care to communities across metropolitan and regional Victoria .

About the Role n

Working alongside our dental practitioners and clinical team, you will help deliver a high standard of patient care across our mobile and clinic-based services.

Your duties will include:

n

Assisting dentists during dental procedures

n
- n

Preparing treatment areas and dental instruments

n
- n

Setting up and packing down portable dental equipment

n
- n

Assisting with the setup and operation of our mobile dental vans

n
- n

Supporting infection control and sterilisation procedures

n
- n

Maintaining a clean, organised and safe clinical environment

n
- n

Providing friendly and professional patient care

n
- n





Travelling to regional Victorian locations as required

n
- n

Working collaboratively with dental practitioners and other team members

n

About You n

We are looking for someone who is skilled, reliable and genuinely enjoys working in a dental environment.

n

To be successful, you will ideally have:

n

n
- n

Certificate III in Dental Assisting

n
- n

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant

n
- n

Knowledge of dental assisting and infection control

n
- n

Good communication and interpersonal skills

n
- n

A positive and team-focused attitude

n
- n

Ability to work independently and adapt to different environments

n
- n

Willingness to travel to regional Victorian locations

n
- n

A valid Australian driver’s licence

n
- n

Confidence and willingness to drive a dental van

n
- n

Ability to assist with setting up, packing down and transporting portable dental equipment

n

n

Experience in mobile dentistry is highly regarded, however training will be provided for the right candidate.
