The Role n

Reporting to the Coordinator Town Planning, this position is
n responsible for the assessment of Development Applications and associated
n customer service functions, assists the Local Planning Panel in their
n consideration of Development Applications and provision of expert evidence in
n the Land and Environment Court of NSW.

You are a motivated and driven planning professional that will
n contribute to the growth of the Hawkesbury community through good planning and
n statutory outcomes. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer
n excellence with your interpersonal and negotiation skills and work with the




n community with strong written and verbal communication while handling your
n workload with outstanding time management. You will positively contribute to
n the team culture and help achieve success through positively contributing
n towards business improvements.

- Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a
n related discipline
n
- Relevant experience in the assessment of
n development applications
n
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Environment
n Planning & Assessment Act 1979 and Local Government Act 1993 and associated
n legislation and regulations as they relate to development assessment
n
- Experience with complex and/or contentious
n developments is desirable
n
- The right to live and work
n in Australia
n
- Class C Drivers Licence
n
- WHS General Construction
n Work in NSW
n
- Working with Children
n Check (WWCC)
n

n

Successful
n applicants will be required to undergo background (police) checks and medical
n declaration
