This role is to support the Compliance & Risk function in delivering the annual Compliance Plan review, strengthening the control setting, implementing key regulatory and compliance projects and improving existing processes and operational efficiencies.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Key Responsibilities n

1. Compliance Plan & Control Improvements

n

- Assist with the delivery of the annual Compliance Plan review.
n
- Review and enhance existing compliance controls, procedures and monitoring activities.
n
- Identify control gaps and opportunities to strengthen the compliance framework.
n
- Support the implementation and tracking improvement initiatives.
n

2. Compliance Projects & Delivery nn
- Coordinate and deliver assigned compliance and regulatory projects within agreed timeframes.
n
- Support the implementation of regulatory changes, including updates to policies, procedures and controls.
n

3. Process & Operational Improvements nn
- Review existing compliance processes to identify opportunities for simplification and efficiency.
n
- Develop and implement practical improvements to compliance workflows, documentation and reporting.
n
- Improve consistency, effectiveness and efficiency of compliance activities.
n

4. Ongoing Compliance Support nn
- Assist with compliance monitoring, incident management, regulatory reporting and governance activities.
n
- Undertake ad hoc compliance activities and research.
n

Key Skills & Experience nn
- At least seven years experience in compliance or a related role at a Responsible Entity, Fund Manager or Investment Management business.
n
- Good working knowledge of the regulatory obligations of a Responsible Entity, most notably the relevant obligations contained within the Corporations Act and ASIC Regulatory Guides.
n




- Experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
n
- Proven experience balancing commercial considerations with reputational and legal risk.
n
- Exceptional communicator and a natural ability to effectively engage with senior management, directors, clients and other external stakeholders.
n
- Strong work ethic and ability to demonstrate initiative, personal integrity and act as a mentor to junior members of the team.
n
- Ambitious self-starter who is capable of rapidly learning key elements of the business, managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
n
