Senior Electrical Engineer – Contractor Side | Melbourne n

A well-established Melbourne electrical contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team, working across major Building Services projects throughout Melbourne.

n

This is an opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer coming from a Building Services background to move into a contractor-side environment, where you’ll be involved not only in engineering and design, but also in the practical delivery and construction of projects.

n

Working closely with project managers, site teams, builders, consultants and clients, you’ll have genuine involvement from design development through to construction and project completion.

About the Role n

n
- Provide senior electrical engineering input across major Building Services projects
n
- Work across design development, documentation, coordination and project delivery
n
- Review consultant designs and identify practical and constructible solutions
n
- Assist with Design & Construct (D&C;) projects from design through to construction
n
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, consultants and subcontractors
n
- Coordinate electrical services with other Building Services disciplines
n
- Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation
n
- Provide technical support throughout construction and assist with resolving project issues
n
- Attend project meetings and provide engineering input to project teams
n
- Ensure electrical works comply with relevant Australian Standards,



NCC requirements and project specifications

About You nn
- Senior-level experience in Building Services Electrical Engineering
n
- Strong electrical design and technical engineering background
n
- Experience across commercial building projects
n
- Valuable understanding of electrical services, including power, lighting and essential services
n
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC requirements
n
- Experience within an electrical contractor, D&C; environment or engineering consultancy
n
- Interested in the practical delivery and construction side of Building Services
n
- Confident communicating with clients, consultants, builders and project teams
n
- Strong technical problem-solving and coordination skills
n
- Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
n
- Victorian registration or Chartered status would be highly regarded
n
